Cabinet endorses policies and programmes

KATHMANDU: The government on Tuesday endorsed the policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2024/25.

A Cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar, today approved the policies and programmes, said Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Spokesperson of the government, Rekha Sharma.

President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to present the policies and programmes of the next fiscal year in a joint session of the federal Parliament this afternoon.

The meeting also endorsed the 16th five-year plan, said Minister Sharma.

The National Planning Commission had sent the draft of the 16th periodic plan (2081/81-2085/86) to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Sunday for final endorsement.
