NC to allow Lamichhane to speak in Parliament as RSP President
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has decided to allow Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane to speak in the Parliament.
A Parliamentary Party meeting of the Congress held on Friday made the decision to this effect.
The NC has been obstructing the House proceedings demanding formation of a parliamentary probe committee to investigate cooperative fraud charges against Lamichhane.
Home Minister Lamichhane, however, has been demanding that he be allowed to speak on the issue in the Parliament.
A leader said that the Nepali Congress has decided to let Lamichhane speak in the Parliament as the President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
The budget session of the House of Representatives and National Assembly under the federal Parliament is starting from today.
Along with Lamichhane, the Congress has decided to allow other leaders to speak in the Parliament as well.
The NC will continue to disrupt the Parliament after the key leaders put their views.
