Karki stakes claim for Koshi Province chief minister
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Koshi Province Assembly Parliamentary Party leader, Hikmat Bahadur Karki, staked a claim for the post of the Chief Minister in Koshi Province.
Karki submitted the claim before Province Chief Parshuram Khapung with signatures of 52 province assembly members today.
Karki shared that the claim was presented for the formation of a new government as per the call of the province chief in accordance with Article 168 (5) of the Constitution.
Karki was elected PA member from Jhapa-5 (A).
Earlier, Koshi Province Assembly had directed the government led by incumbent Chief Minister, Kedar Karki, to take a vote of confidence, citing it is in monitory.
