7 nabbed with more than 1 kg of gold and nearly 15 million in cash from Kathmandu
KATHMANDU: Police have arrested seven persons with a huge cache of illegal gold and cash.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office made public the details of the incident by organising a press conference.
Acting on a tip off, a team of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office nabbed them from Duchennani, Kathmandu-24.
Police have recovered 768. 25 grams of gold and around Rs 15 million from their possession.
It has been learnt that the police apprehended the seven persons and confiscated the gold and cash while carrying out a raid at a hundi godown in New Road on Thursday.
The arrestees have been identified as Ganesh Dutta Badu and Ayush Badu of Tate, Darchula, Rishikesh Prakash Bibhute, Amol Bibhute and Ganesh Timilsina Balte of Maharastra, India and Dinesh Kharel and Bharatraj Kharel of Birtamod, Jhapa.
