House meeting postponed till April 14 after obstruction by opposition parties

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives has been postponed after the obstruction from the opposition parties including the Nepali Congress.

Despite repeated requests from Speaker Deveraj Ghimire to let the Parliament resume its business was unheeded, he postponed the meeting till April 14.

After the special time in the Parliament meeting, Congress and Rastriya Prajatantra Party lawmakers stood from their seats in protest.

The Congress has been demanding the formation of a parliamentary probe committee to investigate charges against Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Rabi Lamichhane.
