Resham Chaudhary directs party ministers to give vote of confidence to NC-led government in Sudurpaschim

KAILALI: Nagarik Unmukti Party leader Resham Chaudhary has directed the party lawmakers to give a vote of confidence to Nepali Congress-led government.

He issued such a directive by calling five ministers of Sudurpaschim Province at his residence in Bardiya yesterday.

Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shahi is seeking a vote of confidence on Thursday.

There is an intense dispute within the party about whether to give the trust vote of Chief Minister Shahi or not.

Chairperson Ranjita Shrestha stressed for forming a government as per a new coalition prepared at the centre and Resham Chaudhary is in favour of giving vote of confidence to Congress-led government.

Minister for Economic Affairs Ghanshyam Chaudhary, also the Parliamentary Party leader of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, Minister for Industry, Tourism and Forest Khusiram Chaudhary, also the Chief Whip, Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Rameshwor Chaudhary and Minister for Social Development Laxman Kishor Chaudhary and Minister for State for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Indira Resham Chaudhary have been directed to give vote of confidence to Congress-led government.

Following Chaudhary’s directive, the party has called a meeting of the Parliamentary Party at 11 am.

Parliamentary Party leader Ghanshyam Chaudhary informed that the meeting summoned for 11 am will discuss the issue about vote of confidence.
