Nagarik Unmukti Party leaders trade blows during party meeting

KATHMANDU: Leaders of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, which is on the verge of split, traded blows in a meeting of the party on Monday due to a dispute between the Resham Chaudhary couple.

Leaders exchanged blows while the meeting was underway at the party central office in Anamnagar this afternoon.

The situation of trading the blows erupted following a dispute on whether to join the government or not.

Ranjita Shrestha is in favor of joining the government while Chaudhary is against it.

It has been said that Tikapur Mayor Ramlal Dagaura and leader Ramesh BK exchanged blows during the meeting. Both of them are from the Ranjita camp.

Chaudhary’s side has participated in the Nepali Congress-led Sudurpaschim government. Ranjita, however, is against it.
