Two killed in Myagdi jeep accident

MYAGDI: Two persons were killed in a jeep accident at Nepane in Annapurna Rural Municipality-5 of Myagdi district on Monday.

The accident took place when a jeep (Ga 1 Ja 7653) heading towards Paudwar from Pokharebagar fell some 200 meters off the road this morning.

The bodies of jeep owner and driver Ganesh Shrestha (37) and Lal Bahadur Tilija, (27) of Paudwar were found at the incident site, said ward member of Annapurna rural municipality-5, Purna Paija.

The jeep was found stuck in a cliff at around 8 am today in the course of searching for the vehicle after getting the information that the jeep heading towards Pokharebagar did not reach the destination, he added.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Madan Kunwar shared that police teams from Ghara and Bhurung Tatopani have reached the incident site and started collecting bodies and investigating into the incident.
