NC demands resignation of Home Minister Lamichhane (With video)

KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress has demanded resignation of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.

Speaking at the Parliament meeting on Friday, lawmaker Pradeep Paudel said that Lamichhane should resign on moral grounds.

“The Prime Minister should not have appointed a person with questions as Home Minister. How will the demands of victims of cooperatives be addressed when the person who is being investigated for cooperative fraud is appointed as the Home Minister,” he questioned.

“How can the government, who has failed to win the trust of victims, be able to resolve the financial crisis,” he asked.
