Gyawali appointed CIB Chief; Bajracharya transferred to Operations Department

KATHMANDU: The government has reshuffled the responsibilities of AIG Shyan Gyawali and Kiran Bajracharya.

A Cabinet meeting held on Friday appointed Gyawali as the head of the Crime Investigation Bureau (CIB) while Bajracharya as the chief of Operations Department.

During the meeting, Finance Minister Barshaman Pun and Law Minister Padam Giri among others suggested that the report of the high-level probe commission on gold smuggling can be made public.

The meeting has decided to take the report into implementation, a minister informed.
