Sandeep Lamichhane at High Court to file appeal against District Court’s decision

KATHMANDU: Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has reached Patan High Court on Thursday to file an appeal against the District Court’s decision.

He along with his legal team has reached the High Court to file an application today itself to review the decision.

The Kathmandu District Court had sentenced Lamichhane to eight years in jail after being convicted of rape.

The court issued the verdict after he was proven guilty of raping a minor.

Lamichhane, however, has been pleading innocent in the case.

A single bench of Judge Shishir Raj Dhakal had pronounced the jail term of eight years against Lamichhane.
