National Democracy Day being observed today (With photos)

KATHMANDU: The 74th National Democracy Day is being celebrated today by organising various programs across the country.

The government has organised a special program at Tudikhel.

The day is observed in commemoration of 7th Falgun, 2007 BS when democracy was established in Nepal after the end of the 104-year-old autocratic Rana rule.

Since 2008 BS, it has become a tradition for the main ceremony committee to organise a special ceremony at the Sainik Manch every year.

The government has appealed to all for a special three-day celebration on February 18, 19 and 20.
