Chinese national arrested with USD 25,000 from TIA

KATHMANDU: Police have nabbed a Chinese national with 25,000 US dollars. A police team at Tribhuvan International Airport arrested 29-year-old Cui Bingcan on Sunday night and made him public today.

The Chinese citizen had been illegally taking 250 units of US dollar banknotes with 100 denomination to foreign country.  According to Police Headquarters, he was about to fly to Guangzhou of China on a flight of China Southern from Kathmandu.

Police arrested him in the course of a security check at the hand baggage check-in counter. He has been sent to the Pulchowk-based Revenue Investigation Department for further investigation and action, added police.
