INTERPOL issues notice to arrest GB Rai

KATHMANDU: The International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) on Sunday issued a notice to arrest GB Rai, who has been absconding on a cooperative fraud case.

According to a source at the Nepal Police headquarters, the INTERPOL, a few days ago, had issued a diffusion notice against some officer bearers of the cooperate who have been on the run along with Rai.

Earlier, the National Central Bureau under the Nepal Police headquarters had written a letter to the INTERPOL to issue the notice.

Rai is the Chairman of Suryadarshan Savings and Credit Cooperatives.

The Nepal Police headquarters said that the diffusion notice has also been issued against former Chairman Bhupendra Rai and Than Bahadur Budha Magar.
