Roadside parking prohibited in New Road area
KATHMANDU: Vehicles will be banned from parking on the roadside in the New Road area from today.
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City said that the vehicles will not be allowed to park on the roadside from Dharmapath, Juddhasalik of New Road to Indrachowk, Khichhapokhari, Mahaboudha and Bir Hospital areas.
The metropolis said that it will provide free parking facilities at the Kathmandu Tower.
City Police Chief Rajunath Pandey said that 300 four-wheelers and 700 two-wheelers can be parked at the Kathmandu Tower as an alternative.
Service seekers have been anguished following the decision of the metropolis to ban the parking of vehicles in the New Road area.
