Alleged robber injured in police firing

KATHMANDU: Police fired two rounds of bullets at a gang of alleged robbers, leaving one of its members injured, at Jagdol in Gokarneshwor Municipality-3 on Thursday.

Police said that a police team deployed from the Crime Investigation Office, Baneshwor opened fire at the robbers after they tried to attack them this afternoon.

Police have recovered a pistol and seven rounds of bullets from the gang.

Amar Ghalan (36) of Kamalamai Municipality-2 of Sindhuli was injured in the police firing.

Santa Lama (36) of Sarlahi and Jiten Lama (30) of Sindhupalchok were also arrested after the incident, police said.
