Bharati Manandhar falls unconscious at SC premises, taken to Bir Hospital for treatment

KATHMANDU: Bharati Manandhar, who started a hunger strike against the decision of President Ram Chandra Paudel to grant amnesty to Yog Dhakal aka Rigal, the murderer of her husband Chetan Manandhar, fell unconscious at the premises of the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

The first hearing of the case filed at the apex against the decision to grant amnesty was scheduled for today.

She has been taken to the Bir Hospital for treatment.

A source at the SC said that Manandhar has been taken to a hospital for treatment.

Manandhar, who came to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj seeking justice, started her hunger strike at Maitighar.

She staged a hunger strike for two hours today.
