1 killed, 135 houses damaged in Bajhang earthquake

CHAIINPUR: A person lost his life to the earthquake in Bajhang district.

Gunamati Dhami (40) of Jayaprithvi Municipality-11, Okhal died after being trapped in the landslide debris, Inspector Dipesh Chaudhary, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Bajhang said.

He said that a police team has been mobilized to the incident site.

Chaudhary said that 11 people were injured in the earthquake.

Two of them returned home after treatment while nine are being treated at the District Hospital.

Police said that the earthquake caused damage to 135 structures in the district.

Chaudhay further said at least 60 houses were damaged in Thalara and 41 houses in Jayaprithvi Municipality.
