City police to monitor 89 community schools of metropolis
KATHMANDU: The city police of Kathmandu Metropolitan City have started monitoring the impact of teachers’ protests in the schools of the metropolis.
The city police were deployed at the directive of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah.
City police Chief Raju Pandey said that they will monitor 89 community schools today itself.
Many teams of city police have been mobilized for the same, he said.

“We will report the metropolis by monitoring all the schools within around two hours,” Pandey said.
He was of the opinion that the Education Department under the metropolis will take action against the schools not conducting regular classes.
Mayor Shah was warned of taking action against principals and teachers who take part in the protest by closing the schools.
