On this day, women eat delicious before midnight. The second day is the fasting day or the main day of Teej, which fall today. Women spend the day without food and even a drop of water.
On this day, devotees throng various temples of Lord Shiva including the Pashupatinath temple of Kathmandu, to offer their prayers.
