Patents suffer as docs shut hospitals across the country (With photos)

KATHMANDU: All the hospitals across the country have decided to shut down all the services except for emergency care demanding action against those involved in attacking two doctors of Sancho Hospital in Hetauda.

Patients visiting the hospitals are adversely affected after the Nepal Medical Association closed all the services except for emergency care across the country today.

“The attack on doctors while treating the patients and not being able to take necessary action against the culprits have created terror in the health sector,” reads a statement issued by the Association.

The Association has decided to halt all the services except for emergency care in all the government hospitals, medical colleges, private hospitals and clinics.

The two doctors of Sancho Hospital were attacked on September 27 after the death of a patient in the hospital.
