Chinese nationals have opened seven companies to smuggle gold to Nepal, claims CIB

KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police has claimed that the Chinese nationals have opened seven companies to smuggle gold to Nepal.

SP Sanjay Singh Thapa, who was deployed to investigate the 60 kg gold smuggling case, said that the Chinese nationals have opened seven companies in Nepal and among them, six have imported gold to Nepal.

“They used to bring a small amount of gold to Nepal at the beginning and bring the remaining by looking at its success,” he said.
