Lalita Niwas land scam: Court orders release of 17 individuals on bail, one on general date

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered to release 17 individuals arrested in connection with the Lalita Niwas land scam on bail.

A single bench of Judge Bholanath Dhakal on Sunday issued an order to release 17 persons on bail and one on a general date.

The Court has sought Rs 24. 6 million as bail bond from the Chairman and Managing Director of Bhatbhateni Supermarket Min Bahadur Gurung.

They will be sent to jail if they fail to pay the bail amount. They will be released only after posting the bail amount.

The court has sought the highest RS 24. 6 million as a bail bond from Gurung.

Meanwhile, the Court has ordered the concerned authority to release Keshav Tuladhar on a general date.
