NC demands in-depth investigation into attack on leader Yadav (With video)

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has demanded fair investigation into the khukuri attack on party’s Joint General Secretary Mahendra Yadav.

Speaking at the Parliament meeting on Thursday, leader Thapa demanded in-depth investigation into the incident.

“I want to ask the Home Minister, are we now not allowed to walk alone in Kathmandu? I have been hearing the Prime Minister saying that all the culprits will be brought to book. We want the Prime Minister to act not only speak. We want to see results,” Thapa said.

He said that that Prime Minister and Home Minister should speak about the attack on the former minister.

Leader Yadav was attacked with a khukuri while he was exiting from the premises of the Reporters’ Club after attending a program.

Yadav, who sustained injuries on his head, was rushed to the Trauma Centre for treatment.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a man for his alleged involvement in the attack.
