Presidents of all 10 parliamentary committees take oath of office and secrecy (With photos)

KATHMANDU: The presidents of all the ten committees under the House of Representatives have taken the oath of office and secrecy on Monday.

Speaker Deveraj Ghimire administered the oath of office and secrecy to committees’ presidents who were elected unopposed amidst a program organized in Singha Durbar this afternoon.

Santosh Chalise of Nepali Congress was elected as the President of the Finance Committee and Raj Kishor Yadav of Janata Samajbadi Party as the President of International Relations and Tourism Committee.

Similarly, Bimala Subedi of the CPN (Maoist Center) has been elected as the President of Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, Arzu Rana Deuba as the President of the Agricultural Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee, Kiran Kumar Sah as the President of the Women and Social Affairs Committee and Ram Hari Khatiwada as the President of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee.

Likewise, Deepak Kumar Singh of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has been elected as the President of Infrastructure Development Committee, Bhanubhakta Joshi as the President of Health and Information Technology Committee, Rishikesh Pokharel as the President of the Public Accounts Committee and Abdul Khan of the Janamat Party as the President of Industry, Commerce, Labor and Consumer Welfare Committee.
