Bhadrapur-bound Buddha Air flight returns to Kathmandu mid-flight due to technical issues
KATHMANDU: A Buddha Airlines aircraft flying to Bhadrapur from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu returned mid-flight after experiencing a technical glitch on Friday.
The aircraft, bearing the call sign 9N-ANP, took off at 1:53 PM for Bhadrapur but returned after facing an issue with its indications.
The plane flew about 15 miles in the air and returned at 2:10 PM, said Teknath Sitaula, Spokesperson at TIA.
He said, “There was a problem observed in the aircraft’s indications. The engineers are currently inspecting the issue.”
Preparations are underway to arrange another aircraft to transport the passengers who were on board the flight, added Sitaula.
A total of 66 passengers were on board the aircraft.
