Ruling coalition decides to field NC’s Uddhav Thapa for Koshi CM (video)

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling coalition held on Monday decided to field Uddhav Thapa of the Nepali Congress as the candidate for the Chief Minister of the Koshi Province.

Thapa is the provincial parliamentary party leader of the Nepali Congress.

During the meeting, an agreement was made to field Thapa of NC for the Koshi CM, said Rajendra Pandey, Acting Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist).

The CPN-UML-led government in the province fell on June 30th after Hikmat Karki failed the trust motion by one vote.
