Prime Minister Dahal embarks on a four-day official visit to India

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has left for New Delhi on Wednesday for a four-day official visit to India.

PM Dahal boarded flight RA 217 to New Delhi from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 1:35 PM.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, ministers, senior government officials, and representatives of constitutional commissions bid farewell to the Prime Minister at the VVIP lounge of TIA.

A contingent of the Nepal Army presented a guard of honour to the Prime Minister on the occasion.

PM Dahal’s delegation team comprises at least 120 members, including six ministers, one Chief Secretary, and eight secretaries. He is also accompanied by his daughter Ganga Dahal.

Prime Minister Dahal is set to engage in discussions with his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, at Hyderabad House on Thursday.

This is Prime Minister Dahal’s first foreign visit since being appointed as the Prime Minister in December last year.
