Resham Chaudary released from prison

KATHMANDU: Nagarik Unmukti Party leader and former lawmaker Reshma Chaudhary as been released from prison on Monday.

President Ram Chandra Poudel pardoned 482 convicts including Resham Chaudhary as per the Cabinet’s recommendation on the occasion of Republic Day on Monday.

Chaudhary, who spent five years in Dilli Bajar prison, was released this morning.

He then after reached Maitighar Mandala to meet party cadres before moving to Kailali.

Chaudhary was handed down a life sentence in connection with the Tikapur incident dating back to August 24, 2015.
