Police, protestors clash in Biratnagar (video)

BIRATNAGAR: A clash broke out between the police personnel and a group of people protesting against the naming of Koshi Province in front of the Koshi Provincial Assembly in Biratnagar on Sunday.

The clash took place when police tried to stop the protestors from breaking into the prohibited area today afternoon.

Police used more than a dozen canisters of tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Some police personnel and protestors were injured during the incident.

Tension has risen in Biratnagar due to the clash.
