Newly appointed minister Acharya sworn in

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Surendra Acharya took an oath of office and secrecy on Sunday.

President Ram Chandra Poudel administered the oath of office to Minister Acharya amidst a program at the Office of the President today afternoon.

The responsibility of overseeing the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens has been given to Acharya, while Mahindra Raya Yadav, who previously held this position, has now been assigned the portfolio of the Ministry of Water Supply.

Surendra was elected as the member of the House of Representatives from the Kapilvastu-2 constituency.
