PM Dahal inspects Kathmandu-Tarai fast track (photos/video)

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal inspected the under-construction Kathmandu-Tarai fast track on Tuesday.

A team comprising PM Dahal, high-ranking officials of the Government of Nepal made an onsite visit reaching different sections of the project, according to PM Dahal’s Secretariat.

The team includes Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala, Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Chief Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, government secretaries, and Chief of Army Staff Prabhu Ram Sharma.

The 72.5-kilometre fast track, which is the shortest route linking Kathmandu with Tarai, is being constructed under the management of the Nepali Army, as the government has entrusted them with the responsibility for this national pride project.
