Anjan Shrestha elected FNCCI Senior Vice President unopposed

KATHMANDU: Anjan Shrestha has been elected as the Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) unopposed.

Shrestha was elected to the post after Umesh Lal Shrestha, another candidate for the post, withdrew his candidacy and supported him.

Preparations were underway for the second round of voting on Thursday, as no candidates including Umesh Lal Shrestha, Anjan Shrestha and Ram Chandra Sanghai had received more than fifty percent of the votes in the first round for the post.

The second round of voting, however, did not take place after Umesh Lal Shrestha agreed to support Anjan Shrestha, and the latter was elected to the post unopposed
