UML pulls out of government in Madhes Province

JANAKPURDHAM: The CPN-UML has quit the government in Madhes Province.

The ministers participating in the government from the CPN-UML submitted the resignation letter to Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Saroj Kumar Yadav, Minister for Law Raj Kumar Lekhi, Minister for Women, Children, Youth and Sports Mohammd Jaid Alam, Minister for Home Affairs and Communications Satrudhan Prasad Singh and State Minister for Home Affairs and Communications Keshav Raya submitted the resignation to Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav.

Minister for Home Affairs and Communications Saroj Kumar Yadav said that they resigned from the government after a new equation was formed at the centre.

The Janamat Party ministers, who have left the federal government, said they would not resign immediately.

State Minister for Agriculture Sanjay Yadav said that they would not quit the provincial government immediately.
