10 Nepali women trafficked to New Delhi rescued (video)

KATHMANDU: As many as 10 Nepali women, who were trafficked to New Delhi of India and forced to involve in flesh trade, were rescued.

The women, who were kept at a house in Kishangarh in New Delhi, India and forced into prostitution, were rescued on Thursday.

They were all rescued in a joint mission named ‘Mission Flat’  that was carried out by Nepal Police and its human trafficking bureau, the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi, Delhi Police, and several Nepali and Indian NGOs.

The rescued women are aged 15- 25 years old.

One of the rescued women said that they were taken to New Delhi assuring them of lucrative jobs and were forced into prostitution.

The rescued women have been handed over to the Anti Human Trafficking Bureau, Nepal.
