PM Dahal to seek vote of confidence on March 20

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is to seek a vote of confidence on March 20.

The Prime Minister has also directed the party lawmakers and ministers to not make any plans on that day, a source said.

With the formation of a new alliance under the leadership of the Nepali Congress, the CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party left the government.

Though the UML and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party withdrew support extended to the government, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has continued its support to the government.

It has been learnt that Prime Minister Dahal is planning to expand the Cabinet only after seeking a vote of confidence.
