We cannot help Subash Nembang in presidential election: Nepal
KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal said that they cannot help CPN-UML Vice-Chairman Subash Nembang in the presidential election.
The UML leaders had reached the CPN (US)’s party office in Aloknagar this morning to meet Nepal.
During the meeting, the UML leaders urged Nepal to support Nembang in the presidential election.
“We cannot help Subash Nembang as the party is the proposer of Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel in the presidential election,” CPN (US) spokesperson Jagannath Khatiwada said, quoting Nepal.
This is the first time that the leaders of both the parties sat for a formal meeting after the party split.
