Sandeep Lamichhane flies to the UAE to play tomorrow’s match

KATHMANDU: Rape-accused cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has left Kathmandu for the UAE to play a tri-series being held under the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 on Wednesday.

He flew to the UAE with Treasurer of Nepal Cricket Association Roshna Kumar Singh at 3 pm today, CAN spokesperson Durga Pathak said.

Nepal are playing their second match with hosts UAE on Thursday. Lamichhane can play tomorrow’s match.

The ICC has already given permission to include Lamichhane in the team.
