PM Dahal, UML Chair Oli hold meeting

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli held a meeting in Baluwatar on Wednesday.

The meeting was said to be focused on the presidential election.

The election schedule for the presidential and vice-presidential elections has already been made public.

But, the CPN (Maoist Centre) and the CPN-UML of the ruling coalition have not been able to reach an agreement on the presidential candidate.

Dahal became Prime Minister on December 25 as per the agreement to give the President to the CPN-UML.

But, Dahal has been seeking a candidate of national consensus for the post of President.

The Nepali Congress has also been holding meetings with Prime Minister Dahal to seek his support for the presidential election.
