Chandra Bhandari undergoes surgery of both legs
RUPANDEHI: Nepali Congress leader and Parliament member of Gulmi-1 Chandra Bhandari, who is receiving treatment at the Mumbai-based National Burn Centre in India, underwent surgery of both the legs on Friday.
Leader Yograj Kandel, who is in India, said that Bhandari underwent surgery of both the legs and his condition is normal.
He said that the decision about whether to undergo a second surgery will be taken after the observation.
Doctors involved in the treatment said that Bhandari’s heart beat is normal and antibiotics are being given continuously, Kandel said.
Bhandari and his mother were injured in the cooking gas cylinder explosion on Wednesday.
They were rushed to the Kirtipur Hospital after the incident. But, Bhandari’s mother breathed her last during the course of treatment.
Bhandari, however, was airlifted to India for further treatment.
