EC to hold President’s election on March 9

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has decided to hold the presidential election on March 9.

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya said that the Commission will make public the election programs on the basis of the same decision today itself.

The Commission will soon write to the Cabinet through the Chief Secretary of the Nepal government on the issue.

Similarly, the poll body has decided to hold the election of the Vice-President on March 17.

The tenure of President Bidya Devi Bhandari is expiring on March 12.
