Rabi Lamichhane reinstated as RSP Chairman

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane has been reinstated as the Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party less than 48 hours after his resignation.

A Central Committee meeting held on Sunday decided to reinstate him as the party Chairman.

Earlier on Friday, Lamichhane tendered his resignation as the party Chair and from the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister after the Supreme Court invalidated  his citizenship.

He handed his resignation to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

While talking to mediapersons the same day, he said that he is not even the Chairman of his party and not even the citizen of this country.
