45yo man attempts self-immolation in Pokhara

KASKI: A 45-year-old man of Madi Rural Municipality Kaski attempted self-immolation in Pokhara on Sunday.

The man, who has been living as a tenant in Kahu Khola, Pokhara Metropolitan City-13, tried to immolate himself by sprinkling petrol on his body in the bathroom.

Ward-13 Chairman Kiran Baral said that the house owner was also injured while saving him.

Baral said that both of them are undergoing treatment at the ICU ward of Western Regional Hospital.

Earlier on January 24, Prem Prasad Acharya (37) of Suryodaya Municipality in Ilam, who had attempted self-immolation in front of the federal Parliament building, succumbed to his injuries the next day,
