Man, who attempted self-immolation near Parliament building, dies

KATHMANDU: A man, who tried to commit suicide by setting himself on fire near the Parliament building in New Baneshwor on Tuesday, breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Burn Hospital in Kirtirpur on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Prem Prasad Achary (36) of Ilam.

Acharya, who attempted self-immolation yesterday, was rescued and taken to the Burn Hospital for treatment.

Police said that he succumbed to his injuries this morning.
