We made mistake by giving vote of confidence to PM Dahal: Shekhar Koirala
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has said that the party made a mistake by giving a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
During a meeting held at the Anup Foodland on Sunday, Koirala said that they were compelled to accept the decision of the majority.
“We made a mistake by giving a vote of confidence. I had proposed to stay neutral. We were forced to accept the decision of the majority. We should not have given a vote of confidence,” a leader said quoting Koirala.
The meeting discussed a changed political course, upcoming Central Committee meeting, election of President and Vice-President and future strategies.
General Secretary duo Gagan Thapa and Bishwo Prakash Sharma, Arjun Narsingh KC, Prakash Man Singh and Pradeep Paudel had floated differing views after a party meeting held on January 10 decided to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Dahal.
