Tanahun District Court clears actor Paul Shah of rape charges (With video)

KATHMANDU: The Tanahun District Court on Sunday cleared actor Paul Shah of rape charges.

A single bench of Judge Komal Prasad Acharya acquitted Shah of the rape charges today.

It has been learned that the court issued the verdict after the charges against Shah could not be proved.

However, the 32-year-old actor will not be released from prison.

Actor Shah had been under judicial custody in Tanahun prison following a rape charge filed against him.

The Nawalpur District Court had sentenced actor Shah to two-and-a-half years in jail on the charge of sexually abusing a minor girl.

A 17-year-old singer had filed a rape complaint against actor Paul Shah in Tanahun on February 23.
