Chaudhary demands written commitment with PM Dahal, UML Chair Oli to release him from jail
KATHMANDU: Resham Chaudhary of Nagarik Unmukti Party has demanded a written agreement with Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli to release him from the jail.
Chaudhary warned that his party would leave the ruling coalition if a concrete decision on the issue is not made by 2 pm today.
He said so with the lawmakers and leaders close to him at the Dillibazaar Prison this morning.
“The incumbent coalition will be continued if we get the written commitment otherwise another alliance will be formed,” a leader, who attended the meeting, said quoting Chaudhary.
Three provinces including the Sudurpaschim are nominating Chief Ministers.
Chaudhary’s party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, has a presence in Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Province.
The seven lawmakers of Nagarik Unmukti Party will play a decisive role in forming a government in Sudurpaschim Province.
