PM Dahal, CPN (US) Chair Nepal hold meeting

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal held a meeting Wednesday.

During the meeting held at the CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Parliamentary Party office in Singha Durbar, the two leaders held discussions on contemporary political issues, PM Dahal’s Secretariat said.

They also talked about the Unified Socialist’s participation in the government and the vote of confidence among other issues.

PM Dahal is taking a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives on January 10. He was appointed the Prime Minister on December 25 with the backing of 169 lawmakers.

According to the Constitution of Nepal, the Prime Minister appointed in accordance with Article 76 (2) should take a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives as per Article 76 (4).
