High-level mechanism formed under Oli, Bishnu Poudel coordinator of CMP

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the senior leaders of ruling coalition held on Thursday had decided to form a draft committee to prepare the Common Minimum Program (CMP) of the government within five days.

It was said that CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli will head the committee.

But, UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel wrote a status on social media on Thursday night saying that Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel will be the coordinator of that committee.

In addition to that he said that a high-level mechanism was also formed to make the works of the government effective.

Barshaman Pun of the CPN (Maoist Center), Dr Dhawal Shumsher Rana of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and Dr Mukul Dhakal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party will be the members of the draft committee formed under the headship of Minister Poudel.

The Finance Minister’s Secretariat said that the Common Minimum Program of the coalition will be focused on improving the economy of the country.
