KATHMANDU: The seven-party ruling alliance has decided to prepare a draft of the Common Minimum Program of the government within five days.

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane said that a committee will be formed under the leadership of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli to prepare the draft.

Lamichhane said that one member of each party will be sent to the committee.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, UML Chairman Oli, Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden and Home Minister Lamichhame among others attended the meeting held today.

“We are bringing in the Common Minimum Programme to show why we form the government. One member from each party will be sent to the committee for the same,” Minister Lamichhane said.

He further said that the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has shown flexibility to join the government.

Lamichhane went on to say that the RPP’s demands will also be included in the Common Minimum Program.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman was of the opinion that though senior leaders of the ruling coalition are holding extensive meetings to discuss the expansion of the Cabinet, no decision has been made yet.
